... is the premier international team competition in women's tennis – the women's equivalent of the Davis Cup.
It was launched in 1963 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the International Tennis Federation. It was renamed the Fed Cup in 1995, and renamed again in honour of Billie Jean King in 2020.
